Why did you choose to join the Flagship Program?
Through the Flagship Program, students have the potential to become fluent in a foreign language.
Have you studied abroad? If yes, when and where? What is one of your most memorable experiences?
I studied at Qingdao University during two summers, and I am preparing to study at Nanjing University for the fall semester. One of my most memorable experiences in China was a July 4th party where Chinese and American students celebrated on the beach together. That party was probably the first time that many of those Chinese students had ever had a hamburger from a grill, providing quite a cultural experience.
How would you sum up your experience in Flagship?
The Flagship Program has provided both academic and real-life challenges. Through these experiences I have become more self-reliant and confident when facing unfamiliar and daunting situations.
What are your post-Flagship plans?
I plan attend graduate school for International Journalism
